Tony's Money is a drama with elements of crime and romance, based on a real person, Tony Luchetti, who had his life-savings tied in bags wrapped around his body. We have Academy Award winner Cliff Robertson currently attached to play Tony. The film identifies with the timely and universal issue of people's relationships with money and debt. Tony's Money will portray the lives and conflicts of ordinary people in unusual circumstances and will be set in one of San Francisco's oldest restaurants, Sam's Grill (est. 1867). A combination of part drama and part social commentary, Tony's Money is a return to films about the American working class.
